Pony Tails
Ponytails is a collection of original cocktails created for each “pony” in the Media Thoroughbred Group (MTG) racing stable. MTG founder Lisa Lake-Roedemeier commissioned fellow horse partner and award-winning mixologist, Dave Pickerell, to create the one-of-a kind drinks. Pickerell readily accepted the challenge and went to work. Each Ponytail contains Maker’s Mark bourbon and reflects the character of the horse and the name. Much like the MTG stable itself, Ponytails runs the gamut from the sleek and seductive Fast Actress to the hard-knocking Spirit Warrior.
We have also included some fun and memorable pony “tales” about Media Thoroughbred Group horses and humans. And, Master Dave’s helpful hints for recreating his magic that we’ve dubbed “trick ponies,” should make you the oddson favorite at your next Derby party!
