Tips for 1st Time Investors
Horse ownership can be romantic, and even a bit addictive! It is also highly speculative. Therefore, you should allocate funds to this investment much as you would a vacation. Realistically, whether you have the time of your life, a mediocre experience, or the worst vacation ever, there is no check in the mail when you return home. And, although our goal is to reach the winner's circle and collect a check at the racetrack, it is not realistic to invest with the expectation of financial gain.
Also, in any horse partnership, there are additional costs beyond your initial investment. The training, maintenance, and management fees are typically built in for a specified period of time. However, you can expect to be responsible for a portion of those costs thereafter, based on your percentage of horse ownership.
At Media Thoroughbred Group we believe that happy partners are informed partners!
